FandangoDrew Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Anyone found a good kit for an oil pressure gauge? If I can't find a kit, I probably just tap in at the idiot light sending unit... any thoughts or advice would be great. Quote
cosm3os Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Is the idiot light sender able to measure a range of pressure, or just trigger when a given low pressure is hit? Quote
FandangoDrew Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 I have found out last night that the idiot light will NOT work for the pressure gauge because it uses a uses a pressure transducer. This leaves me needing to install the sensor into the block somewhere. Quote
FandangoDrew Posted March 1, 2008 Author Posted March 1, 2008 I would still love to have a kit to work with, checked the usual suspects(turner, bimmerworld) but no luck. If I don't find a kit by monday I guess I will give Rob at BW a call. Quote
maxxfish Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Drew, There is a small plus with a ellen hole right above the prssure sending unit on the oil filter housing. I haven't removed it yet, but am thinkg that it would be possible to get oil pressure from there. Take a look and tell me what you think! max Quote
13-FANDANGO-TONY-66 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Max just wondering if you have tried messing with that spot you posted about?? I am going to take a look at it today, try to see if anything can be done there....Let me know what you found and i will do the same.. Quote
rscheiring Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I got a standard autometer gauge and sensor from Summit racing to use for my E30 M3. Sensor of course didn't fit in the block where the idiot light sensor went in, but I was able to buy an adapter from VAC motorsports which did the trick. Quote
vinnymac Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Get an oil distribution block (ODB) and add a pressure sender from there. Bimmerworld.com has the ODB. It looks just like this. I run an S54 oil filter housing on my motor so I know it will work for your E46 M3. It's simple and easy. Quote

cstreit911 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 A kit of oil pressure gauge? I think there are many in the internet just make a wide searching of sites and information about this you can find it just be patient. By the way, I am searching for a good Tube Notcher, and I was still searching for something I can see. SEO Services Huh. I guess since your post was really about pumping your 'S E O services' rather than helping him out, having negative keywords like porn, illegal activity, etc.. attached to your URL immediately after won't your ranking? Just wondering.... Quote

cstreit911 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I liked my solution better. That way when Google tried to index his URL from this page, it may flag it for adult content and count against him. ...and now back to your regularly scheduled thread. Quote
