DonDDR Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 SCCA now requires DOM or alloy steel cages. Anyone know of a weld in kit that meets these requirements? I know I can have one made, but I can install and weld my own if I can get a kit. THANKX![/b] Quote
horsewidower Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 None! I must have called and talked to a dozen vendors. Only one would do a DOM cage (Esslinger), but not at the thickness that was legal. I gave up and went to a fabricator. Quote
bsim Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Autopower race cages are DOM: Race Roll Bars are also available in DOM tubing for an additional $35 or comes standard when ordered with a U-Weld Roll Cage Kit (U-Weld Cage Kits can be purchased separately). HERE. Quote
Tom Beverly Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 S & W will do a cage for you in DOM if you ask them too. A little fabrication skill is required to fit everything and you will have to modify some of the stuff, like the rear down bars, to meet the SCCA/NASA rules. They will make it in 1.75" x.120" wall DOM. Quote
bmw22 Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Kirk Racing makes weld in DOM kits. Over the years I have purchased two of their cages. An 8 point cage with NASCAR side protection is less than $700. http://www.kirkracing.com/ Quote
Members Jim P. Posted October 27, 2004 Members Posted October 27, 2004 I have used CSC racing as well, they will make it out of DOM if asked. http://www.cscracing.com/ck.htm Quote
