Paul
H1 ITR's........ Are you guys using Accusumps? baffled pans? I've had some excessive oil spewing problems so I'm removing the Accusump. I'm leaving the Moroso pan, oil cooler and added another/breather catch can.... Paul
Andrie
Paul, I've been running accusump in all my race cars. Been running them for about 2 years with no problem whatsoever. I'm guessing your problem is somewhere else. Maybe the moroso oil pan? I heard it was created with drag racing in mind.
Paul
Anyone running just a stock pan and maybe a oil cooler successfully? Paul
Ron Carroll
Paul, I have been running my accusump for 2 years on my 2nd gen Integra with stock pan and have had no problems, seems more like a venting problem for the crank case, building up too much pressure that can't get out fast enough so it forces oil out. Andrie
I like to add that I run them with srock pan as well.
vapor
you aren't running too much oil in the engine? If it's overfilled, that's reason for the excess pressures building up and oil spewing out.
Paul
Humm... I don't think over filling was the problem.... I even changed oil at the track to make sure I had the correct amount in... The funny thing was that the Accusump had pressure with the manual valve open and the air pressure at zero....it still read as having 80+psi Paul
FF lotus
a possible solution for a second breather line is a vailiable from http://www.z10eng.com and it's basically an oil cap with an AN fitting attached
Paul
I removed the Accusump and added a valve cover breather before the event this weeked and the problem is solved. Not one drop of oil anywhere all weekend! Thanks, Paul
