experienced engine engineer looking for race team

i'm not sure how to go about this.

 

i'm a combustion engineer with 5+ years of engine testing and development. i'm looking to find a race team in the chicago or minneapolis area to become part of in my spare time.

 

any ideas how to do this? is there an address list of teams/drivers?
