vpnwiz Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Hi guys, I am currently running a '92 Miata w/supercharger in PTD (you might have seen it ). I have decided to run SM next year. I am trying to decide if I should keep the car I have and modify it to run in SM or build a new SM from scratch. My current car ('92 body) has front brakes and rotors from a '99, a complete Torsen LSD swap, adjustable camber (offset) LCA bushings, remote oil cooler, misc and random interior pieces missing. Suffice it to say I have not kept the SM rules in mind when modifying this guy to race. My concern is that I yank out the motor, intercooler, s/c and Megasquirt and replace with junkyard stuff and get protested for some ticky-tack crap like not having the seatbelt towers 6 months down the road. Comments anyone? Spence, be on high alert. I am coming for you. Quote
mcmmotorsports Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Avoid the grief, doubt and confusion, build you a new one. Quote
ninetyfourintegra Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 booo... I would sell yours and buy another. I know I already had my fill of building. Quote
dwspen01 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Buy a car that is already built for SM. There are plenty out there...and there are usually more for sale near the end of the season! Quote
