Tom #16 Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 (edited) For sale is my 1983 Porsche 944 Spec car, #16. It ran under the 944-Spec rules. Drivetrain: Engine has a 1986 block, recently rebuilt (mileage wise) with one race weekend on it. The rest of the engine is 1983 vintage. New balance belt and camshaft belts New reference sensors Short 5th gear Clutch replaced during recent engine rebuild Open differential Stock ECU Stock exhaust manifold & headers (Bursch headers included) Hi-flow cat + muffler (stock cat + muffler included) Suspension: Toyo 225/50/15 R888 tires, only one race weekend on them 550 lb/in front springs Yellow Koni shocks 30 mm rear torsion bar Weltmeister 30 mm front sway bar Weltmeister adjustable rear sway bar Camber plates Strut tower brace Porterfield R4 brake pads Manual steering rack Chassis: Weld-in roll cage Sabelt racing harness, expires 2011 Sparco Evo II seat + seat brace Window net- expires 2 lb fire extinguisher Weight with 1/2 tank of gas and no driver is approximately 2500 lbs. AC removed Alternator relocated All gauges work Includes various spare parts- brake pads, fuses, relays, CV boots, control arm, etc. Street legal- still has emissions systems on it and a new tag. Headlight motors, windshield washer pump, heater controls have been removed but I still have them and are included. Pictures are here http://s219.photobucket.com/albums/cc120/taspargo/944%20For%20Sale/. I'm going to add a few more soon, of the tires and a couple other things. The only negative is that the oil pump loses its prime when the car sits for more than a day or so. It doesn't leak any oil. It worked fine prior to replacing the front seal, so the problem would most likely be fixed by removing and reinstalling the oil pump. I don't have time to do it. I'm asking $7k. I'm located in the Los Angles area near LAX. Email: taspargo (at) earthlink (dot) net Tom Spargo 310-616-1213 Edited November 17, 2009 by Guest Quote
Tim Comeau Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Well, I've been wanting to know how you've been, Tom. But, not like this. Sorry to hear you have to sell your 944. Quote
Tom #16 Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 Hi Tim! It was this or selling the twins, and I don't think that's legal. I'll be back once they are a bit older, one way or another. Quote
Tim Comeau Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Ok, well, let's get it sold quickly and get it back on the track. Please post a pic of the twins, too! Quote
