brant giere
For those of you who are running 944's with the 1989 2.7 liter engine....what are you making at the dyno in RWHP and TQ approximately? I'm building one this winter and want to get some idea of what it may produce.
John Graber
Brant, Here are the factory flywheel numbers: USA '83-87 (2.5L 9.5:1) - 137Tq / 150HP '88 (2.5L 10.1:1) - 140tq / 158HP '89 (2.7L 10.9:1) 140Tq / 162HP So to answer your question..........not enough! brant giere
Yeah those are the Porsche "official numbers"...they are way too conservative me thinks....Who do we know that is running a 2.7? I am wondering what a real world dyno pull would yield.
JSG1901
Do we have any 2.7s around here? I'm looking at all the dyno sheets I have and most of the non-S2s are in the 140-145 hp range with one 944S at 160.
Sterling Doc
Some of the 944 Cup guys were running 2.7's, and I recall big TQ figures (for an 8V 944) in the mid 150's. Might want to go ask on the 944 Cup forums.
911.racer
154. Per the dyno sheets on the car that John A. was going to look at Saturday. Ed
