bellwilliam
in these HPDE events, are most people wearing their racing suit? glove and shoes? if there is a requirement, is that SFI-3.2A/5 ? thanks again !!
NASA Jim
You should search the HPDE forum; there was a discussion of this a while back. In short: If you got it, wear it!
MWieber
I will go with NASA Jims answer here. There is no requirement for racing suits, shoes, gloves, etc. in HPDE. However, if you have these items, why the heck wouldn't you wear them?? If you are thinking that because it isn't a contest you will drive at 7/10ths, or you just won't push as hard, remmember that the firey crash does not have to be caused by you. Our whole sport is dancing cars on the edge, anything you can do to stack the deck in your favor would be prudent
CaptainWho
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: When I'm on fire, _every_ TPP counts. EDIT: After working corners for a couple of seasons, I wear my safety gear religiously. It can be a real eye opener. So can Crash & Burn school.
