2010 Hoosier Tire Contingency

Details for the 2010 Hoosier Tire contingency program have been released. This program applies to all NASA drivers participating in the following classes/programs, and are registered for the Hoosier Tire contingency program:

 

Performance Touring (PT)

Super Touring (ST)

Time Trial (TT)

German Touring Series (GTS)

American Iron (AIX)

All participants must register for the Hoosier Tire contingency program through Hoosier directly by following the instructions on Hoosier’s website.

The contingency program works similar to the 2009 season, only with slight modifications. Payout is as follows:

 

1st Place w/3-6 cars in class: 1 free tire

1st Place w/7+ cars in class: 2 free tires

2nd Place w/5+ cars in class: 1 free tire

3rd Place w/7+ cars in class: 1 free tire

They are part of Havoc Motorsport, the trackside support for NASA Midwest and several NASA Great Lakes events, so the answer is yes.

So it just says the number of cars required "in class" does this mean if there are 3 cars signed up in a class and 2 have mechanical failures I can still win tires?
