Porscheotto
Can anyone tell me where to purchase a bracket for a K&N cone filter for an early 1985 Porsche 944? Thanks in advance, Otto
krystar
are u thinking about replacing the oem airbox with a cone filter on the end of the AFM? just don't. yer car will be sucking hot air from engine bay. u'll prob lose power.
944-Spec#94
Yes, Most guys run the stock box and it works better than cones. It is actually two reasons for this. One is cold air from the fender is better than hot air from behind the radiator and the other is most cone filter adapter have weird steps from the round cone exit to the square AFM. The result is poor airflow. If you MUST go with a cone you can fab a bracket to hold the filter. It just takes some metal. Not very hard.
