Noob question

I guess I'm not a total noob as I came up through the NASA HPDE program and TT but have been running SM for the last few years with the other guys so I'm not very familiar with the CCR rules and race car classification.

I'm planning on building a 99 Miata with a small block chevy, T56 tranny and 8.8" rear end. After reading the rules and car classification information it looks like I could run in ST1 or ST2, or SU if I had to. Is that correct? The other guys don't allow different chassis and drivetrain cars.

Thanks for any advice/opionons.

We put an cam'd LS6 in my neighbor's 99 miata, T56 and Ford 8.8 IRS. 410 RWHP

It would make a ST1 car if one had stones big enough to drive a beer can at warp 7

Brian,

Would like to make a trip to Florida in a few months with a complete car. Somehow I don't think that's going to happen though.

You should make a trip to Wisconsin next season and join us at Road America!

I would love to come run with you up there......

Its a whole process for me to run races out of town....the semi burns a bunch of gas and then the time off and flying a crew out on and on..........

Its rough without a sponser

One day I will retire and drive the country racing.
