claykos
For sale, unique and awesome early chassis, WATER COOLED 911. 1974 911 tub, 993 rsr wide body work, and of course 996 GT3 CUP Drivetrain!! This car is extremely fast and will run with just about any 996 or 997 cup. Everyone drools over this car and I would say it is the ultimate vintage/modern Porsche marriage. Legal for NASA ST1 and GTS5, has NASA and PCA log books. Extremely fast: 1:03 at PIR (would be good for top 5 grid spot the last time Rolex raced there) 0:57 at Firebird East (NASA record holder) 1:03 at Firebird Main (NASA record holder) 1:44 at Cal Speedway (easily capable 1:42s according to the data) Chassis: 1974 911 Tub, rust free ~2250 lbs wet (no driver)! Full safety devices cage installed and modified by FABCAR, fully tied to front and rear suspension ATL fuel cell ~1.5 yrs old Amazing cooling system with a single huge radiator vented through hood Water and oil stay below 200 even in 100 degree+ Arizona racing weather. Interior: Recaro ProRacer HANS seat Schroth Belts Custom steering colum Tilton floor mount pedal set up Full STACK Data system with GPS, throttle, steering, G-force, etc Body: All fiberglass 993 extra wide body 60 inch carbon banana wing Drivetrain: 2000 gt3 cup engine w/~2 hrs since refresh by Chris Cervelli Just over 350 rwhp before refresh 996 cup rear chassis wiring, very nicely done 2000 gt3 cup G96 6 speed cable shift gearbox (NOT EASY TO FIT!) Close ratio gears for ~160 mph top speed ~25 hrs on gearbox since refresh 2004 Cup diff Tilton 7.25 clutch 2 plate clutch, full thickness on discs Front Suspension: Full ERP 935 monoball JRZ 3-way adjustable remote reservoir struts with dropped spindles 18x10" fikse wheels w/ 265/645/18 hoosier slicks 930 Brakes Rear Suspension: Full ERP 935 setup 930 trailing arms JRZ 3-way shocks 930 Brakes 18x12" fikse wheels with hoosier 320/650 tires Extras: Spare shift cables 3 sets total Fikse wheels Probably some other stuff I am forgetting... The car is running flawlessly. It has been disassembled for several months, but we just put the engine back in fresh from Chris Cervelli and ran it for about 2 hours of testing a few days ago. Performed perfectly, ran all day without any issues. Car is ready to race. Full thickness on pads and rotors, completely fresh. It would cost WELL into the 6 figures to have a shop duplicate this car. It is incredibly quick and nimble with modern watercooled power and 500 lbs lighter than a 996 cup with much larger tires! Cobra4B
That's rad! Why purpley/pink for the shell/cage though?
claykos
That's rad! Why purpley/pink for the shell/cage though? We didn't build the car originally...would not have been my first color choice! Always thought about taking it down to the tub, but never got around to it. I was going to give you a full price offer, but now I'm going to have to pass I was originally going to price it at $120k, but considering the color priced it accordingly I had a rule: no one was allowed to make fun of it unless they passed me on track....
