Scott
I drive a very nose heavy car (VR6 VW) added to that the car is really rear brake biased. I am looking for a really aggressive front pad to help with balance. Used the Carbotech XP12 all last year but need something more aggressive. What have people found that they like?? Any help is appreciated.
IGZOSTD
Hawk DTC 60's but they trash the rotors. Raybestos ST 42, ST 42 are pretty nice on rotors and never fade. Call Porterfield Brakes 949-548-4470 if you can't find them. A couple years ago they made me a set and had them to me in 3 days.
IGZOSTD
Scott, I made a typo, that should have read ST41 and ST42
Scott
Any feedback on how the ST-41's compare to the 47's? I have heard it is possibly too aggressive for at 2800# car. Even with the bias issue.
Lemming
I've run the DTC-70's and -60's and they are not nearly as hard on rotors as the old blues. The 70's are very aggressive.
hustler
I have a turbo Miata running DTC-60 all the way around, usually run well under teh SM record (driving hard) and no complaints other than overheating the pads at one track. i also have good 2.5" brake ducting on a spindle shroud which makes a huge difference in manageable brake temps. I get about 5+ days on a set of front pads, 4 days on rears, rotors last 10 days.
