The Laguna sounds regs only open up the dB 4 or 5 weekends a year. For the rest of the year, the have to come in under 93 dB I think. That would be really difficult for alot of NASA cars, including most of the HC field. Not to mention that Laguna costs considerably more to rent for a weekend. To get the sounds restrictions up takes $$ I think. More than NASA is willing to spend to get races on the track. So they just do single weekday hpdes, charge more, and turn a profit.
