HPD Remains Title Sponsor for Honda Challenge Series and Expands Contingency Program

NAPA VALLEY, CA - February 1, 2011 — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Honda Performance Development (HPD) will remain the Title Sponsor for NASA’s Honda Challenge series in 2011. As part of this sponsorship, HPD is introducing a new comprehensive contingency program for the Honda Challenge series in 2011 which will now include rewards for regional races in addition to the National Championship contingency program which was a great success last season.

As part of the Title Sponsorship Program, HPD will also provide additional sponsorship to ensure the Honda Challenge National Championship race from the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on September 10, 2011 will again receive television coverage.

“We are excited that HPD will not only remain the Title Sponsor for the Honda Challenge series for at least the next two seasons, but has also decided to expand the rewards program they are offering to Honda Challenge competitors” said Jeremy Croiset, Sponsorship Manager for NASA. “The Honda Challenge Series has become one of the best classes in the country to race a Honda or Acura vehicle. With the addition of this new contingency program, along with the renewed television coverage for the class from this year’s National Championship event, we feel that Honda Challenge is the best option in the country for anyone interested in road racing a Honda or Acura.”

HPD’s General Manager, Marc Sours, echoes that sentiment, “We are thrilled to be able to continue to support the Honda Challenge racers again this season. As our Honda Racing Line membership grows we learn more about the needs of Honda enthusiasts, which will allow us to offer better service, and increased support to our racers. We are looking forward to another great race season.”

Details on the new HPD Contingency program for 2011 will be released in a later announcement and subsequently, posted on HPD’s website (http://www.hondaracing.com/hpd).
