Posted February 24, 2011 National Staff Share Posted February 24, 2011 http://www.nasaproracing.com/2011/02/hpd-announces-comprehensive-co.html HPD Announces Comprehensive Contingency Program for Honda Challenge Series NAPA VALLEY, CA — The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce that Honda Performance Development (HPD) has released details of the expanded 2011 NASA Contingency program for HPD Honda Challenge competitors. The 2011 HPD Contingency program will make awards available to Honda Challenge competitors at the 2011 NASA Championships presented by Toyo Tires and will also offer awards for Regional racing events and Regional Champions. HPD will again offer Honda Challenge competitors cash prizes at the NASA Championships with up to $2000 for 1st place, $1500 for 2nd place, and $1000 for 3rd place finishers in each Honda Challenge class. Additionally, each competitor that finishes in the 4th through last place position in the Honda Challenge National Championships race will be awarded $500 cash no matter where they finish. The Contingency program will also provide awards to finishers in each Honda Challenge class during the first points race of each Regional racing weekend in 2011. The regional program will have payouts in each Honda Challenge class up to $450 of contingency support at each event. Finally, the enhanced 2011 HPD contingency program will also reward Regional Honda Challenge Champions with a $500 cash bonus if they also participate in the 2011 NASA Championships Honda Challenge race. To qualify for these generous awards, Honda and Acura NASA competitors must display the required HPD decals and must also be registered members of the Honda Racing Line program. The Honda Racing Line program is designed to make HPD parts and services available to amateur and entry-level professional racers. Honda Racing Line membership is available free of charge to any NASA competitor. NASA will administer the National Championship and Regional Racing portions of the 2011 HPD contingency program. Competitors will be required to submit contingency claim information within 90 days from when official results are posted for each eligible event. I have also ordered parts from their site and have found it to be a great resource, thanks to all who put this program together, I hope we make them proud with our racing!
