Posted May 19, 2011 National Staff Share Posted May 19, 2011 http://www.nasaproracing.com/2011/05/nasa-announces-new-spec-tire-p.html NASA Announces New Spec Tire Program for AI & HC Classes at NASA Championships May 19, 2011 1:40 PM — NAPA VALLEY, CA - The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is pleased to announce a newly secured program with Hoosier Racing Tire for the 2011 NASA Championship event which will make the Hoosier R6 the required spec tire for the American Iron and HPD Honda Challenge Classes at the event. As part of this program, competitors will also benefit from fantastic contingency offerings in the form of cash and product support from Hoosier Racing Tire. Each of these 6 classes will be awarded up to $5,350 in cash and 37 free tires! Additionally, the new Hoosier Radial Wet H2O tire will be the spec option tire for wet weather competition during the event. This program will apply solely to the 2011 NASA Championships. For complete information on the newly available contingency program from Hoosier, please visit http://www.nasaproracing.com/contingency July 6, 2011 NASA is making an allowance for AI and HC competitors at the 2011 NASA Championships. In the event any moisture is present on the track surface, the Toyo RA1 will be permitted in addition to the Hoosier Radial Wet H2O tire for wet weather competition use. Aug 1, 2011 NASA is also allowing the previous style Hoosier Radial Wet tire in wet weather competition and Hoosier Racing Tire will still provide contingency support to anyone competing on such tires for the AI and HC classes at the 2011 NASA Championships.
