OHIO4DRTEG
In my car I have an expired 5 point harness in the passenger seat and a new 6 point harness in the drivers seat. Would you , the instructor, feel uncomfortable in an expired harness and the difference in driver having a 6 point vs passage 5 point. The car has roll protection (4 point cage with cross bar) and Corbeau racing seats.
kbrew8991
as long as it was still in good shape (not faded, not brittle feeling, still adjusted fine, no fraying) I would feel fine. The expiration dates are set pretty dang conservative, even for the longer-running FIA cert'd belts.

Just think those stock seat belts in those 90ish model year cars are 20+ years old and we use them
[email protected]
Make sure all the groups you run with will allow them to be used. For HPDE, some clubs will allow SFI belts to be used in HPDE for 5 years from the date of manufacture while others may enforce the dating on the belts.
