Why would you want to run non-DOT tires at an HPDE? Unless your car is a racecar with race suspension, you will be throwing money away. A DOT R compound tire will server you much better.

BMW22,

I will be running the S03 Hoosiers, like I usually do. They are DOT approved. However, I can get a similar Hoosier tire that is not DOT approved for literally a song and a dance. So from that side, I would be saving money by running a non DOT tire. If you run an 18" rim, you might want to check them out. Drop me an email.
