NASA from SCCA class

I have a G Production, Limited Prep Honda CRX. If I made the jump to NASA,what class would the car run?

I am not totally familiar with the G Prod prep levels. What have you done to the car that's strays from showroom stock prep? I don't see how a CRX could end up in H2 since there are no provisions in the rules to "jump" classes, except straight to H1. I would try to find a way to fit it into H4, were those cars are most competitive. It might be hard to do in H1.

in the 04 rules there was some a provision for classifing SCCA cars, but it isn't in the 05 rules, at least i couldn't find it

You are right. Gone from the 05 rules, as is the section on Showroom Stock cars. What region will you be running in? You might want to contact your region leaders.

From the 2004 rulebook:

7.2 SCCA “Production” Vehicles

SCCA Production prepared and classed vehicles are eligible to accumulate championship points in the Honda Challenge for a maximum of 3 weekends. Once prepared to HC rules, the car may retain the previously accumulated points, and add the additional 'legal' race points to the total. All Production cars must conform to the class rules and minimum weights per the SCCA rulebook (“production” legal tires are allowed). All drivers must present a current, valid logbook for these vehicles.

a) SCCA “Production” class vehicles eligible for Honda Challenge

1) F Production: Eligible for H1

2) G Production: Eligible for H2

3) H Production: Eligible for H3
