Keith
I was wondering if using a Headlight Restoration Kit like I've seen on TV would work on old Lexan? Anyone ever try this or know if this would work or not?
mbuskuhl
What are you trying to clean up? I've done street car headlights and I have Lexan on the race car. Both of which I have experimented with quite a bit. Everything from the Novus line, 3M kits, traditional wet sanding 1000, 1500, 2000, rubbing compound, PlastX, etc. It's much harder than you think to get it looking good. Lexan/newer vehicle headlights/Polycarbonate - all the same.
Keith
I am just looking for a cheap, easy way to reducing the yellowing and discoloration in ~20 year old lexan in my latest track car. Getting the car to safety specs broke the bank and I am just looking for some cheap shortcuts to improve visibility and appearance. It sounds like I should get a kit and do one of the side windows and see what happens. Even if it doesn't work out that great, the side window won't be a disaster if I create a problem.
