I am looking at getting a Ultrashield spec miata seat for my daily driver and future hpde track time. So I can get lower in the car as i'm one of the bigger guys in these cars at 6'3 235lbs. I cant seem to find anyone running this seat to sit in it. I have a 38in waist and i'm looking at the 16in version of this seat. Can anyone confirm the fit out there?? The ultra shield spec miata seat , second one down in this link is what i'm lookng at.

Im on the smaller side of a 38 waist. I have the 17" Rally Sport and wish I would have gone with the 16". The 17" has more room, but the 16" really secures you at the hips and thighs better. Better for track days, but its up to you on daily driving.

Id also consider the Rally Sport over the SM seat because it has the shoulder wings, for what its worth.

I'd post this question in the SM/SSM section of the forums, i know a lot of Spec Miata guys run Ultrashield Seats.

I'm running the Ultrashield Pro Race seats (similar to rally sports with the side shoulder supports), and really like the seat. At 6'3" It will be challenging to fit low enough in the car, but an Ultrashield bolted to the floor is about as low as you can get. I have a smaller waist and run a 15" seat, so no help for you there. Just make sure that part of your mounting solution includes a back brace.
