lordkelvin Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I am really interested in training and starting a semi-pro caring career. Can anyone assist me where should I start? I am 28 years old, I am not sure if this is a old age or not. I have over 5 years racing as an street racer and considering buying a new car just for racing. So any information will be useful. obzezzed350 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Well thanks for the honesty, but the street racing is going to give you nothing towards that goal. You need to start attending HPDE events in your home region. They are non-competitive weekends where an instructor will show you the ropes. These are best done with a street car on street tires. It can be anything from a Miata to a Ferrari, what you need is seat time to build the awareness and skill set needed to race competitively. Quote
Fixxxercask Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I wouldn't mention too much that you have "street racing" experience either. Glad to see you want to put on a track now! Quote
