Bosch Yaw Sensor

since this is my first Z...

I have found a million posts regarding Yaw Sensor bypass - switchable.

With that in mind, if they are simply bypassing power to the sensor for a temporary time - would a complete removal of the Bosh unit, provide a permanent benefit or does this control ABS in some fashion.

I thought I was going to die when braking into a corner @ 90+ the other day, with VDC disabled.... totally forgot about the secondary unit.

Has anyone removed the Bosch unit, without issues?

thanks!

This how I did it when I tracked my DD

disconnect the battery

lift up the center console

disconnect the wiring harness from the yaw sensor (positioned just behind the shifter) NOT the AirBag sensor at the back end of the console area

reconnect the battery

drive it like you stole it

disconnect the battery

reconnect the yaw sensor for the drive home

reconnect the battery

repeat as necessary

For the race car; I have completed removed the yaw sensor...ABS works fine...just no nasty VDC problems...but have several lights lite on the dash...

I tracked mine last weekend - just simply disconnected the bosch sensor -- absolutely no issues -- remains disconnected and will never go back. Black duct tape over the dash lights will make you forget they are on!!
