A few years ago I used to get to autocrosses and HPDE events with some regularity, but life got in the way and I had to hang up my helmet for a while. Going forward I should be able to get back out there. I'm looking for a cheap chassis that's a ton of fun to drive, with decent power and acceptable reliability. A turbocharged Miata is hard to beat for that combo. I'd prefer a '98+ with a 1.8L. The car can either be turbo charged already or naturally aspirated with some track prep done. This will not be a daily driver, so comfort is not an issue, but it must be street legal (who knew Wranglers can't even tow a Miata??). Exquisite paint and flawless interiors are not something I want to pay extra for! Certainly willing to entertain other platforms if you think something else fits the bill.
