Salvisol
Hi I created a thread in the southeast forum to try to sell a track day spot that I will not be able to attend. This is event is not organized by NASA. I noticed it was deleted. I can understand NASA would not want competing events listed on this site. However I see that other non NASA trackday threads are allowed to exist. Can someone clarify why my thread was deleted and other competing events are allowed to remain? getfast
There has been a "no advertising of non-NASA events on nasaforums" policy in place since the creation of nasaforums as far as I know. If some are missed, it's probably because the moderators for that subsection haven't checked in lately (or because they are somehow unaware of the policy, or because they don't care.) Where are the ones you still see, so we can take care of 'em?

ILIKETODRIVE
This doesn't appear to be a "track day thread" but I guess it could be. However, they do offer up "NASA-SE prizes and schwag!"
kbrew8991
it was also posted by the SE Region Director There's kind of a fine line - most of what I've seen that stays up is letting people know of test days prior to NASA events. While they aren't run by NASA, it's good to let NASA people know about a Thurs or Fri or whatever test day and is of great benifit to the members to leave up. Ones that are at another track run by another group on the same weekend as that region's NASA events are going to get zapped pretty quick. The stuff in the middle - grey to a certain degree.
