I want to give props to all my fellow TT and HPDE 4 drivers that made it a fun, fast, and safe set of events!!! See ya at the track!! My transponder only worked for the first session. Wai lost an axle nut, which we managed to find a spare (off of a Civic)... but then Wai went and hit a Miata during the race, which ended up shredding his tire. Fortunately he was there, since I needed a tow ride home after my engine caught fire. Nothing major, a few bolts on the exhaust (between manifold and turbo) backed out and hot exhaust caught the timing belt cover and nearby items on fire. Plus, it was hot, I started sweating buckets mid-Saturday. Then, I finally remember I have a RENTAL transponder in my car, after I tow it to a shop, and I can't get it back to LM until after the next event. Pooh on me. I am such a wuss, and should stop complaining! Nice seeing you again Damian. Fortunately I was only on the track long enough for you to pass me once. Well-run event, thanks to the cornerworkers for the additional fire extinguishing, and Lawrence for the tow. You can see in the "fire" video, I really really really tried to wait that fire out. -Chris (Pictures might be broken, we-todd-did-racing doesn't seem to like nasaforums.com... I emailed the webmaster to see if it can be added/allowed.) All fixed up, loctite and double-nuts everywhere.
