Diller
I need to order some steel/aluminum sheet to cover the hole I made in the car where the fuel tank goes. I want to make sure I get an appropriate thickness of metal to cover it. I didn't see any regulations in the CCR about thickness of metal but I want to know if there is a good rule of thumb or engineering practice for covering the fuel tank. I don't want it to burn through in 0.004 seconds but I also don't want a 1" thick piece of steel in the trunk. Any help/direction is greatly appreciated. Diller
Does 22 gauge aluminum sound about right?
