August 8, 2005: NASA Big Bore Drivers to battle it out at VIR Stock Car Spectacular

American Iron and Camaro Mustang Challenge to race at VIR's Stock Car Spectacular on labor Day weekend.

NASA is pleased to announce that VIR has invited some of NASA’s most popular racing series to participate in its second annual Stock Car Spectacular. American Iron, including Camaro Mustang Challenge will pound the ground with its big V-8 cars and ultra close racing. This race represents the last of the American Iron East Coast Championship races and it is hotly contested between Bob Kaser, Beau Dunnivant, and Bryan Shugg.

Also, Factory Five will hold it’s annual Nationals at VIR to determine the National Champion of the Factory Five race series.

True Blue Performance will be on hand with their dyno, so if you are interested in seeing what your car can do, bring it on!!

The races will take place on the VIR Full Course (3.27 miles) and the event will occur over the three days of September 2,3 and 4, 2005.

Racers will be treated to over three hours of track time. The schedule can be found at http://www.virclub.com. In addition, any AI or CMC driver that runs at VIR during the Stock Car Spectacular will earn a FREE weekend at either the October Rockingham event or the September Summit Point event. This would save racers over $200. Jim Pantas and Chris Cobetto have both spent a great deal of time and work on this and we all appreciate their efforts.

As always, the American Iron Series and drivers would like to thank our sponsors: BBK Performance, Brothers Performance Warehouse, Maximum Motorsports, Stteda Autosports, Toyo Tires, and of course, True Blue Performance (919-639-3105), for lugging their dyno up and down the east coast for us to most of the races this season. American Iron would also like to welcome CV Products to the mix and thank them for their support and for offering up some product certificates that all drivers can contend for. Their website can be found at http://www.cvproducts.com. Check out the site because they have tons of parts!
