fdv99
Hello, Working on getting my car race ready and need to mount the window net. Since the cage is already painted, I would rather not weld tabs to it, is it acceptable to use clamp collars around the cage to mount the window net? It would have a seat belt latch for quick release, just the clamp collars to hold everything in place versus welding tabs on the cage. thanks for your input. Diller
Not mandated in the CCR to weld the tabs but it better be a damn strong mount to pass tech. I would take the hit on making the cage a little less purdy and get the tabs welded on to make sure they work as intended and pass tech. kbrew8991
clamps are likely to shift a little and scratch the paint anyways. Don't skimp on safety, do it the strong way even if it's a little more costly or less pretty or whatever.
