tbruen01
Hello, I am new to this racing scene and have been trying to research a lot about it. I have a few questions that I do not believe I saw in the manual, but I may have over looked something? Any help in the right direction is greatly appreciated! 1. Can you modify a vehicle, to any degree, and still race it as long as it still follows the 11.4 of the HPDE technical requirements? (Example: Mazda RX7 with a LS swap.) 2. Does the roll cage actually get an inspection sticker, like the NHRA, or is it inspected before every event? Thank you, Tyler
getfast
Hi Tyler, 1) Are you asking about HPDE or racing? For HPDE the car just needs to pass HPDE tech. For racing it needs to pass race tech and fall into some sort of class (the swap you mentioned would typically fall into an ST class or possibly SU.) 2) Racecars get annual inspections/stickers and logbooks. HPDE cars get per-event inspections. Rollcages need to meet the rules in the CCR either way. Hope it helps,
