Mystic_Cobra
Can anyone provide some additional advice on wiring the cutoff switch. I have the 4 post type for isolating the alternator. I read several threads from CC and got lots of opinions. I'm interested in isolating the computer. What size wire? What to connect to? Anyone? thanks! Driver
ummm...have a wiring schematic for your car? The EEc-V has more wires going into its harness then you'll probably care to mess with. What is your concern with the ECU? If you kill power via the battery and the Alt, you won't have any worries with the EEC.
Mystic_Cobra
I got the switch wired. It works fine. I wanted to isolated the computer because it keeps fuel settings and other things (not sure of the specifics) so that the computer doesn't have to relearn when you start up. thanks for the reply
ffspecracer
Find the power wire for your computer. It's probably attached to pin #1. Get a 5 amp re-cycling circuit breaker and some 18ga wire. Wire the circuit breaker between the hot side of your switch and the computer and your done. This is how we do it on our 5.0L race cars.
