Francis Hu
I need ideas to add 50 lbs of ballast. The two lugs on the frame just in front of the seat tub does not have much room to add a lot of weights.
C.Plavan
I need ideas to add 50 lbs of ballast. The two lugs on the frame just in front of the seat tub does not have much room to add a lot of weights. I have used the bosses for the heel stop in front of pedals also. The weight made a great heel stop also. Dave put lead shot mounted under his seat also.
bpanther
Yep. I took lead shot and poured it into the two cavities under the seat. Then adhesive and rivets to secure flat aluminum sheet over the top. The two bosses in front of the seat are good up to 65lbs per Elan. C.Plavan
https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-50-Lb-Lead-Ballast-Weight,2164.html Drill two holes and boom! Just double check length. I did this for 35 pound weights when I ran ST2.
