NASA TT Classification - How does classing work?

Pardon my ignorance as I am new to TT. I am still confused by the classification of TT. I plan on running TT this year and currently in the middle of building an S2000. As a newbie trying to join, it hasn't been easy trying to get acclimated. Please understand that I am reaching out on the forum because I am frustrated that I cannot find my own answers and do not want to be pegged as the guy that cannot figure it out. Personally, I hate asking for help.

My two questions:

1. I have seen classes of TT1-4 and TTD-F (https://timetrial.nasaseries.com/nasa-tt-class-calculator/ & https://www.nasaproracing.com/rules) Yes, I know there was mention of TT=ST calculations here (https://supertouring.nasaseries.com/forms-rules/). Is TTD-F still active, if so, where can I find information about this? And/or is it recommended that I start in those classes before moving to TT4?

2. In TT1-4 are you assessed points for suspension modifications? I saw in older documentation and calculators that in TTD-F assessed points for different mods.

Help is greatly appreciated.

With an S2000, you should be looking at TT4 and TT5--so go to the ST Rules for detailed info, and use the ST/TT Car Classification Form to assist you with classing. All of the Modification Factors are listed on both of those, and when you choose ST4/TT4 on the Form, the Modification Factors that apply come up automatically. Same goes for the ST5/TT5 Form. Contact your Regional TT Director for assistance with classing. The contact link is on the TT website. https://timetrial.nasaseries.com/contact-us/
