First Day @ California Speedway

Tight 90 degree corners. Long straights. Like running a street race. Lotsa fun! 9 cars started in a grid that was about 3 second front to back. Campbell lead wire to wire. Great drive. 4 cars fought hard for 2-5th. Going into the last turn it was Stowell, Steel, Trask, Littleton. Stowell had some trouble and overcooked into the corner. Steel drove in hard. Trask could only watch and wait. Littleton had a chance. Stowell dropped a couple of wheels in the dirt and came back across the track and tapped Steel. Trask shot between them! Finish order: Campbell, Trask, Steel, Stowell, Littleton! Wow! We had a great race. Top five cars crossed the line within about 3 seconds! Fast times were just hundreds apart. Very close racing! This place is fun to race. Lots of places to pass. fast and slow corners. Ryan and his crew are doing a great job! One more race tomorrow. I can't wait!
