soloIIfocus
I have heard that NASA is going to possibly run a spec Focus class? Any truth in it? Tim
tophe7d
Yes sir! Next year! I'll be running. Check out the Focal Jet. It's posted in their autox/raodracing forum! Ted Sevrens is the guy in charge and he's putting together a list of perspective cars for next year. Leo Capaldi will be in charge of the Mid western region. Check it out, Ted or Leo are great to talk to and they'll answer all of your questions. focaljet.com capaldiracing.com Chris my design concept for next year. soloIIfocus
Thanks Chris, I have been on the Jet for years never thought to check there. After reading Ted's run down on classing. No wagons, (reason no parts for the wagon) no thank you to spec Focus I guess I may play in USTCC or just have fun with track time and autocrossing. tophe7d
Sounds like fun! Have at it and good luck!
FocusTed
The rules should be done sometime in Dec. Like I said in Focaljet. It might be cheaper to buy or build a Spec Focus then it will be to race your wagon in USTCC. You can build a Spec Focus for around 7-9k. It will cost you that much to get your wagon competitive in USTCC. But, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]
Biggie
The USTCC is a professional race series. So you get prize money, contingency awards, media coverage for sponsors and high profile events like the San Jose Grand Prix. With the costs of USTCC entry close to those of normal club weekends, there really isn't any good reason NOT to run the USTCC.
