Posted January 22, 2013 Members Share Posted January 22, 2013 We had our first race of the year this last weekend at Motorsports Ranch Houston. 12 CMC drivers included a first ever CMC race for John Martin, and returns to actually driving in CMC for both myself and Rob Liebbe. On Friday night we all got together with our AI buds for some great food, to hand out awards for 2012, and to watch the new 2012 Texas Year End video (Glenn already linked to that). Good times, even if it was way too cold! Our format here is two races each day, the first being a standing start with grid based on qual, and the second being a flying start and grid is the inverse of the prior race's finish order. As you can imagine, there were tremendous battles all over the field in every session...along with the typical funny moments such as when Rob slid off the track on a sweeper and Wayne and David followed him. Well, ok, David technically kept it on the pavement, but just barely. Congrats to Michael Mosty for a clean sweep of all four wins. Michael is a madman at this place! FBody383 Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Al, that is not at all correct. I was "well" on the normal racing surface... on that lap. Some of the best racing ever in Texas CMC.
