t500hps Posted January 17, 2014 Share Posted January 17, 2014 I recently bought a 96 mustang with the 4.6L SOHC, PI heads, and long tube headers. The car itself performs quite well but needs about 10-15 HP and 20-22 more TQ to make "the numbers". I'll never hit the TQ numbers with this engine but should be able to hit the HP numbers. Several have told me to get the Steeda timing adjuster but I just called them and it was discontinued "at least 5 years ago". Anyone find an alternative to get the extra power out of this engine? Steeda said they quit making it because the "tuners" can get that much or more easily.......but tuners aren't allowed in CMC. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
