rsmith350
Do not under any circumstances buy the cheap" Aerocatch knockoffs. I had an off track excursion that had some suspension damage but I would still have a hood and a windshield if I had spent the money on the real thing You can clearly see from the picture that the hood mount severed all the way around

rsmith350
I did however do some research and if it doesn't have " Aerocatch" molded into the side......you don't want it
suck fumes1548534743
The real ones are made in England and are $70-$80. If you find ones that are $25 they are Chinese knockoffs.

Steve91T
I thought stock hoods are all that's allowed in CMC?
FBody383
I thought stock hoods are all that's allowed in CMC? Yes; I believe the "pins" are open. Pardon the pin pun.
Pranav
I once looked into buying the real Aerocatches for my build. I was advised against them because they are difficult to re-align after hood-bending contact. I've got regular style hood pins. If my contact is that bad, at worst I can drill out the pin retainer to get it to fit to finish a weekend. They're cheap enough to replace. Get the Sparco ones for your new hood and call it a day. suck fumes1548534743
Or the autozone standard pins for $12. Those are a lot stronger than the knockoffs on eBay.
