Jonathsn
Does driving HPDE void my car's warranty? Or only if I suffer damage and try to claim it as warranty repair?
427R
Maybe, depends on the warranty language and dealer. https://www.autoblog.com/2017/02/27/new-car-warranty-valid-race-track/ Edited March 10, 2019 by 427R
Duane Black
Assume yes until proven otherwise. Mosr insurance doesnt cover anything happening on a surface designated for racing either. Lockton or Hagerty to the rescue there. GM is the only manufacturer i know that, so long as you didnt molest the engine or it’s tune, covers the car under warranty. We had a Camaro los an oil pump at VIR last year. It was towed to nearby Danville and the engine replaced under warranty. Other manufacturers are a flat no, others say “driven within the specifications of the owners manual.”
Kennard
I know of 2 GT350 Mustangs that have went belly up at the track. Ford replaced engines on both cars, 1 was a fight to get done but it was finally replaced.
