Hi,

If running a fuel cell, is rendering the stock fuel tank non-op by cutting holes in it an alternative to removing it?

Nope.

3.4. Fuel tanks / cells 3.4.1 If a fuel cell is installed, the OEM tank, if applicable, must be removed.

Hi Roman,

How do we submit a rule change request?  I'd like to propose that an non-op tank be allowed, or that an under body panel no larger than the surface area than the bottom horizontal surface of the stock fuel tank be allowed to to be installed in the location of the stock fuel tank (if removed).

What is an in-op tank? You meant non-op?

What is the use case? Why would you want to leave the tank in there?

Roman, yes I meant non-op.  I would like to keep something there to reduce drag and act as a debris shield.

This request was approved and processed. New rules have been published.
