ekim952522000
Just out of curiosity.....At what level are you allowed to become a instructor? I'm guessing it's level
sscguy
HPDE4 IS instructors and racers. Once you become an instructor (take the instructor clinic after experience with HPDE3), you're in HPDE4.

FocusTed
HPDE4 IS instructors and racers. Once you become an instructor (take the instructor clinic after experience with HPDE3), you're in HPDE4. Well, that depends on what region you’re in. In SoCal we have drivers in Group 4 that are not instructors or racers. Most of the instructors we have had at least spent some time in Group 4 first. Again region dependent, but there is no CCR rule that says you are eligible to be an instructor once you make it to HPDE 4. There are people with racing licenses that I would not give an instructor license....
Members Jim P.
We offer instructor clinics (3 levels) at all of our Rockingham, Roebling and CMP events. Once you have spent some time in HPDE 3 you can take the clinics and start instructing. We usually prefer that you get enough seat time first so you can recognize when a vehicle is out of control. The instructor clinics teach you more about the various drivers you'll encounter and how to maintain control of the car from the passenger seat and teach better driving skills in the process.
