Grintch Posted January 23, 2006 Share Posted January 23, 2006 Does NASA allow SCCA Production/GT style low front cages for open cars? Looking at the CCR (15.6) it appears that only high front cages are allowed, but I have seen pictures of cars with a low front cage suposedly running in NASA events. If they are allowed, what are the specifics of the front hoop and brace between the front and rear hoop? Part of whay I am asking this is that the SCCA Productions rules require attaching the brace within 6" of the top of the hoop front & rear, but the GT rules don't limit the attachment to the front hoop and this would allow for a cleaner design on my car (a Locost 7).
