TaylorGoesFast Posted February 7 Share Posted February 7 Hello all! The spec3 rules are built around the 325i, just like Spec E30 and Spec E46 are built around the 325i and 330i respectively. However, ALL E36 sedan and coupe chassis are the same and share a LOT of parts. As a result, Spec3 allows you to use any chassis you want as long as the parts that didn't come on a 325i are swapped out. I'm working on a spreadsheet that gives some hints as to what parts came on what years/models and what's allowed in Spec3. So if you want to use an M3 to build a Spec3 (it has been done), a 318i, or anything in between, please consult this spreadsheet, read the rules, and become familiar with RealOem.com This is not an official document, but instead just a little project from me.
