cliftching Posted August 29, 2006 Author Share Posted August 29, 2006 Here is a little info on PIC's Final drive. PIC's final drive is manufactured differently than that of SRRs'. PIC's f/d are forgrd on both the gear and the ring while SRRs' are cut from steel. It is much more expenssive to forge. There're not many manufacturers who use forged steel for f/d. After the steel is forged into f/d's shape, it then machined through CNC milling machine and, finally, ground through CNC grinder to ensure the teeths are precise and smooth.
