Maybe your right....ST1. We scaled the Car: 5 Gallons Fuel, 200 Lb Driver

= 3,220 Lbs. Dyno (2007 498 RWHP) - Car Mod Factor (-0.2) = 6.26 ST1

I guess this is correct.....I didn't do so well in math class.

    5

you need 5 "events"

you can do 2 races and 2 TT events all in one weekend....thats 4 right there.

then you need just one more "event"

yep, thats spot on assuming DOT-Rs

even if you were on non-DOTs you'd still be ST1, you'd just be on the bleeding edge (5.51)

Kyle,

You have it right.

In one weekend (depending on event) you can run 2 or 3 races & 2 TT - giving you 4 or 5 of the 5.

Not sure but I thought I remember reading somewhere this year only 1 TT counts towards your races unlike last year more could - which is correct 1 or 2 TT count towards the required 5 races?

Set the precedent now before getting married to manage expectations LOL...

Falcon,

That was Tom Soriano in his 996 GT3R with a 996 TT engine - very cool car he has.

Last year at the Nationals I was testing some new heads and had a problem so I did not make it to the last day.

Now have a completely new engine - reliable again (as it was the first 3 years of hard racing)- yeah!

Here is a cool in car video with data acquisition from a Sebring race a couple of years ago running 2:10's in traffic.

The car is a bit faster now

Scroll down the page and look for Goldrich Sebring GT2 and you will find it...

Do a right click and saveas so you run it from your local hard drive...

Ok... the rules are 2 TT events can apply to the 5 "events". I might be able to swing this.

Geez Norm... gotta love the sweet sound of industrial hairdryers.

Paganizonda,

In 2000 I drove a WSC/LMP1 car.

I ran the Oreca Viper in 2002 both Rolex & IMSA -Daytona 24 & 12 hours of Sebring - not Laguna...

Norm

Oh, cool!

Which LMP-1 car did you drive? I'm guessing a customer car like a Lola or Courage?

It was the very last Spice factory WSC car. It was built as a WSC not GTP.

It was Andy Evans car...

For 2+ years I also raced a 1990 Spice GTP with a Cosworth Formula 1 engine - DFR 3.5 - Wicked car 4.3 g's

Also 4 years Lola Can-am T530

Factory Oldsmobile Aurora GTS1

For 6 years - 935

Some cool cars - I have been very lucky

I've found an RX-7 down the street from where I live, and it could be a good ST-1 car. The reason why I've decided on ST-1: I want to do the Endurance races too.

I'll get a picture of this car up soon. It'll be a big project, but then again, it'll be a few years until I've got the team ready to race.

Sorry I haven't got a picture up yet. I've been busy with my training regimen and cross country races.

It may be a few more days.

Very cool.

I drove the car once it went into private hands.

Who is your dad and what car did he drive?

I used to watch Trans Am racing when SPEED covered the races, I believe Leigh Diffey was an announcer.

Of course when I watched, it was the early 2000's when the Jaguar XK's were racing, not sure if they still do.

My ST-1 car, 1993 mazda rx7. It has a ways to go before its competative at nationals with the hardware that shows up there, and the driver needs some work too
