jeffburch
Does anyone know the AI and AIX track records for the Mid Ohio Pro Course? Searched around, no luck. TIA, jb
King Matt
In AI it's a 1:35.9xx. Luna and Andrew were the only two who ran under 1:36 last year as I recall. Not sure who actually has the record. FWIW, the track does not seem to have as much grip this year thanks to the sealer that was put down in many of the corners. We'll see if those times are equalled or beat this year, but so far in 2008 they have not been.
Grizlbits
Ernesto has the AIX record with a 1:29.688 in the Sunday race. He ripped off a 1:28.xxx in a practice session, but only race laps count.

MSR Houston had seal coat on the last hair pin which made it slicker than monkey snot in the HOT TX heat, and 10 times worse when wet....all at the turn with a sandy mud bog and a concrete wall to bounce off of at track out. They have since stripped it off and grip is much improved. I just don't understand why they do it other than for looks. It doesn't do anything to preserve the materials other than to make things slide over it instead of stick to it?! If the track really is coming apart, fix it right and keep the track consistant from year to year. What turns did they put this "wunderproduct" down in? Thanks!
