JohnPutnam Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Has been my HPDE toy for the past year. Moving to TT this coming year... Quote
millertm Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Always wanted a S14 and finally got one two years ago. It's been a great car and something that's easy to find parts and do the work myself. I'll probably keep it until I get a lot more experience and then move to an E36 M3 or if I get the right offer. Quote
Aardwolf Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 It was cold and the battery was to low to start my DD, so I took my daughter to school in the race car. v710's are really not that bad in the snow! Quote
stevelaclair Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Start of my CRX Si Project Excellent, I start my CRX Si project today... going to be used for a chump car but if it lasts after that it's probably what I'll TT with Quote

ArmoredSpecV Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 New to the site! I have been itching for track time. Never been out before but hopefully my car will be ready for Mid-Ohio in April! Josh Quote
Camaricopa Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Ran my first NASA HPDE2 with the Arizona Region in Jan. Looking forward to the next even next weekend. Will be back at Phoenix International Raceway Quote

Cobra4B Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Must be fun keeping those wheel barrels clean... kind of defeats the purpose of a black wheel doesn't it? Quote
Camaricopa Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Must be fun keeping those wheel barrels clean... kind of defeats the purpose of a black wheel doesn't it? I wouldn't know, you would have to ask the folks at the carwash Quote
stevelaclair Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Another newbie here. Havent made it out to a HDPE event yet but should be making the first one in April. love it! That is the car that made me fall in love with cars, unfortunately I've never got to own one. Quote

pitchlock Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Here's my 93 240sx, She's been a great car for me. Fairly cheap and easy to work on. This year though she's got a new paint job and I don't have the Silvia front end anymore. This is my other de car when I don't want to push it. Quote
joey Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 this is my turd, a 98 chevy silverado not your usual hpde toy but it sure does get treated like one road atlanta 0-60-0 challenge atlanta dragway Quote
TurboShortBus Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 An HPDE pickup truck? That's badass. I could have saved myself a whole pile of money by not buying the Mustang and using the tow rig for track days. Mark Quote
joey Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 well im 21, a body shop helper and i cant afford a mustang to build into a race car so my truck will have to do for now. lol but once i get a tune(dang speed limiter ) it should be able to hold its own... for a truck anyways. Quote
rogue55 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I thought NASA specifically does not allow trucks and SUVs on track? Something about the weight diference being too large in case of car to car contact. Guess I was wrong, since you have a picture of being on track at RA in 10a-b with another truck in front of you. Did you read that in the CCR somewhere, or was it a regional policy, or just an internet rumor? SUVs such as Porsche Cayennes and BMW X5s are not uncommon HPDE vehicles. There are also more than a few passenger cars out there whose weights are similar to those of smaller-sized trucks and SUVs. Mark Quote
audiobuffru12 Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 What was the 0-60-0 time and feet, that was before you got your tarnny rebuilt . Quote
MR_E Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Here's my HPDE/autocross car. She may not have much in the way of horsepower, but she handles like a dream. Quote
